Ava Senior Portraits
Benton, TN River Session
As a senior photographer based in Cleveland and Chattanooga, TN, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing countless high school and college seniors during one of the most exciting times of their lives. But there was something truly special about Ava’s senior portrait session that stands out. Ava’s theme for her session was simple and my favorite: “I trust you.” And that trust led to an unforgettable and unique experience that perfectly captured her personality and spirit.
As her former teacher and her being one of my senior reps, I knew Ava was open to taking some risks and embracing the unexpected. As a senior photographer, I absolutely love it when my clients are willing to go beyond the norm and let their true selves shine through. Ava was a prime example of this.
One of the first things Ava trusted me with was the location. Instead of opting for a traditional studio shoot or the everyday locations, Ava wanted something different. She wanted her senior portraits to be a reflection of her adventurous spirit. So we went off the beaten path and chose locations that we both had never been to along the River outside of Cleveland. From old motels to abandoned fields, we tried it all!
When it came to poses, Ava was game for trying it all. She wasn’t afraid to get a little goofy, strike poses that were unconventional, or even use props to add a touch of fun to her senior portraits. Ava’s willingness to step out of her comfort zone and embrace the moment with confidence and trust made the session an absolute blast. My absolute favorite moment was when Ava fully immersed herself in a lake for some of the best photos of the entire session. Despite the initial shock of the cold water, Ava’s trust in my vision and her commitment to making her senior portraits truly one-of-a-kind allowed her to let go and create some breathtaking images that captured the essence of her adventurous spirit.
As a senior photographer, having clients like Ava who are willing to take risks and trust me is a dream come true. It not only makes my job more enjoyable, but it also allows me to capture images that truly reflect the unique personality and spirit of each senior I work with.
Ava’s senior photography session was a testament to the power of trust between a photographer and their client. When seniors are open to trying new things, embracing the unexpected, and fully trusting in their photographer’s vision, the results can be absolutely magical.
